Medical Review

So I just made my appointment with the Peace Corps doc!! It’s next week. Every time I achieve a new milestone in the process I get more excited! My final appointment, which  concludes the “Medical Review” phase of the process, is next week as well. I have one last dental appointment; I had to have 18 x-rays taken of my mouth and due to my hypersensitive gag reflex I couldn’t complete them in one appointment! 😦

The next phase is the Evaluation phase. It’s where the PC evaluates my medical profile and determines if I am medically fit to serve and if I have any conditions that would preclude me from serving in certain regions of the world. I anticipate a clean bill of health with the potential to serve anywhere in the world.

Mary, this is such a great idea – I’m so proud of you for doing this (both the blog & the Peace Corps)! I can’t wait to find out where you’re going & am looking forward to many postings!
